We are the UK's largest water and wastewater services company. Every day, we supply 2,600 million litres of tap water to 8.7 million customers across London and the Thames Valley. We also remove and treat 2,800 million litres of sewage for an area covering 13.8 million customers.

We need to ensure people across London and the Thames Valley can turn on the tap and rely on top-quality drinking water, day and night. And, whatever is discharged into the public sewers, our role is to make certain it's safely transported and properly treated.

That's a major responsibility - and we face new challenges in the future, in the shape of population growth, climate change and new legislation.

That means, of course, that we welcome the best in engineering talent. For example, we are currently extending London's Ring Main, which supplies much of the capital. We are also investing in several major projects to reduce the risk of flooding to local homes.

But our people don't all work with water or sewage. For example, we have over 500 staff in our contact centre, which handles four million enquiries per year. We also have people who specialise in other aspects of the water industry, including regulation and the environment.

As you'd expect, we rely too on a wide range of employees whose skills are required by any major business - among them, experts in finance, law, IT, and property.
