Water Resources Management Plan

Every five years we produce a Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP), which sets out how demand for water is balanced against the supply over the next 25-year period.

In May 2008, we started a 16-week public consultation on our draft Water Resources Management Plan.

All the comments we received are available to view on our independently facilitated consultation website.

In February 2009, we submitted our Statement of Response to Defra, which describes how comments from the consultation were considered.

The Statement of Response also details how other factors, including the economic downturn, have affected water supply and demand forecasts in the last 12 months.
